Sobre el premio
El Future Generation Art Prize es un premio bianual de arte contemporáneo mundial para descubrir, reconocer y brindar apoyo a largo plazo a una generación futura de artistas. Establecido por la Fundación Victor Pinchuk en 2009, el Premio ha sido concedido una vez en dos años. Durante su existencia el Premio apoyó el desarrollo artístico de más de 100 artistas. El Premio apoyó la producción de nuevas obras de los candidatos a exhibiciones en el PinchukArtCentre en Kiev y proyectos que forman parte del programa oficial colateral en la Bienal de Venecia en 2011, 2013 y 2017.
Todos los artistas de 35 años o menos de cualquier parte del mundo que trabajen en cualquier medio están invitados a solicitar el Premio. Un comité de selección sobresaliente, designado por un distinguido jurado internacional, revisa cada solicitud y nomina a 20 artistas para la lista breve. Estos artistas recibirán el encargo de crear nuevas obras que se exhibirán en el PinchukArtCentre en Kiev. Posteriormente, todos ellos presentarán sus trabajos en la exposición Future Generation Art Prize en la Bienal de Venecia.
Se otorgan hasta 5 premios especiales a discreción del jurado. Se otorgará un monto total de US $ 20,000 a ganadores de premios especiales por proyectos de apoyo que desarrollen su práctica artística.

El ganador del premio principal recibe $ 100,000 divididos entre un premio en efectivo de $ 60,000 y una inversión de $ 40,000 en su práctica.
