Reading Group

4th floor, PinchukArtCentre library

The Reading Group is a community united by a love of literature and contemporary art. At each meeting, we read and discuss texts that echo exhibition themes, connecting personal experiences with collective stories and broader socio-cultural contexts.

Since 2021, the Reading Group at PinchukArtCentre has served as a platform for thoughtful discussion and reflection on contemporary life. Participants engage with works by Ukrainian and international artists and explore texts addressing relevant cultural and social issues. Every voice matters, helping open new perspectives and encouraging the joint exploration of complex topics.

For each exhibition, moderators select texts that uncover unexpected links between art, literature, and personal experience. The program has been curated by critic Kostiantyn Doroshenko, writer and radio host Olena Huseynova, and literary critic Bohdana Romantsova. The first cycle was held in partnership with the NGO Forum of Publishers, with additional contributions from the PinchukArtCentre Research Platform during special sessions.

Authors often join the discussions, including Liubko Deresh, Oleksandr Mykhed, Olena Mordovina, Vano Krüger, and Maryna Hrymych.

Enrollment opens with each new exhibition.
